Colwyn Bay RFC Unveil New 1XV Home and Away Kits for 2026/27

A new chapter begins at Colwyn Bay RFC as the club proudly unveils the new 1XV home and alternative playing kits for the 2026/27 season.

Designed in partnership with Exile Sportswear, the new jerseys combine a fresh, modern look with unmistakable references to the history and traditions of Colwyn Bay Rugby Football Club.

Speaking following the reveal, 1XV Head Coach Gav Hodgkinson explained the thinking behind the new shirts:

“As a new era begins, our home jersey is a nod to the past, going back to a mainly white shirt with thinner lines and a modern twist. Marcus from Exile and I worked extremely hard over the weeks to create a shirt that we feel the squad can be proud of. With seahorse panelling and traditional box numbering on the back, we feel that, as a club, we can build on our traditions while continuing to push forward with our modern approach.

Our alternative jersey, kindly supplied by Marcus at Exile, also has plenty of meaning. The shirt itself has a 7s style in bright yellow and navy. Yellow is also a colour our club has used in years gone by, so we felt this was appropriate to bring it back. Colwyn Bay is famous for its sandy beaches, and this jersey most certainly has a beach rugby feel, with navy lines and seahorses throughout the design. It also features the traditional box numbering, and we feel that it’s a great mix of 7s style and club tradition.”

The kit reveal also marks the beginning of an exciting new period for the 1XV under Head Coach Gav Hodgkinson, pictured alongside Assistant Coach Sam Williams, as preparations continue for the new season.

Our thanks go to Marcus and the team at Exile Sportswear for their work alongside Gav in developing the new kits, and to Gwyn Evans CVF, DPS and Linney Cooper for sponsoring the home jersey and Exile Sportswear for their sponsorship and supply of the away kit.

Two very different shirts, but both unmistakably Colwyn Bay.

A new chapter. A new kit. A new era. The same pride.🔵⚪
