Super Saturday at Colwyn Bay RFC!!!

Dear Parents, Grandparents, Guardians of CBRFC players,

This coming Saturday, and every month, is YOUR chance to stay ahead of the game and to learn the skills to practice with your young stars away from training. Colwyn Bay RFC will be hosting a mixed-ability training session (any fitness levels included!) on Saturday morning 10:30-12:30 as part of the Stingrays with Rachel Taylor, Ex-captain of RGC, Wales and Barbarians!

This will comprise of a skills workshop (made relevant to your kids ages) and then some short games of touch-rugby. Not full size pitches, we're all pleased to report! This is for ANYBODY over the age of 16 to come and learn to play rugby or just have some fun with some of your club-mates! So far this season we’ve had male/female, young/old, players/non-players attending these sessions. We’ve had players that are returning from injury, veterans, first-team players, beginners, Mums, Dads, second-team players and more importantly a large group of rugby lovers. This is also a fantastic opportunity for you to understand why, and what, we do at training, and maybe include the Rugby Club further as part of both a great community social and physical centre.(We have a resident physio now with pilates/yoga classes coming too!) Did I mention cooked breakfasts from 11-3 pm?!

After that we have, of course SUPER SATURDAY this week. For those who haven't been down to the club on a 6-Nations day, its a great atmosphere, all are welcome, and we cordially invite you to join us to support your chosen teams, and yes - English fans are allowed in! Food will be served also. Matches are: FRA v ITA 12:30; WAL v IRE 14:45; ENG v SCO 17:00. Any of the top three teams could still take all. And we'll be selling off a Gilbert rugby ball signed by both Ryan Jones and Rachel Taylor, both ex-caps of Wales; and a full Isuzu match shirt, XL in the raffle. See Twitter.

If you're celebrating after, or are in need of something different(!), we have live music from 7pm. Josh Robinson is a great singer and this night was a success a few weeks ago, why not stay on a bit longer and join us?

If you fancy any of the above - we would love to have you at YOUR club! Also please pick up a 'Centenary plans' form regarding the future of your club and submit your ideas, we will be applying for fresh funds for the club in a few months for 2020-2021 and need your input! Lastly - the Ex-players lunch and last match for the 1st XV on the 23rd March v Welshpool.

As the season builds up to the last few weeks now, this is also our chance to support our Head Coach, Rachel Taylor and both Senior and Junior Committees who have provided some much needed stability and support to a club that has endured some tough times recently, but we feel is both re-inventing itself and  planning for a fresh future with your continued and valued support and fantastic kids!

Any enquiries please call us.

Yours in Rugby,
